Welcome

The city of Basel stands for an outstanding ballet company whose reputation extends far beyond the national borders. World-renowned choreographers have made the Ballet Theater Basel an internationally renowned institution. The Ballettschule Theater Basel is part of this success story. Since its foundation in 2001, it prepares up to 50 dancers a year for the big stages of the ballet world and offers over 300 children and young people a technical education in ballet and modern dance.

Prix de Lausanne 2020 Prize Winner – Classical

Matei is one of the eight winners of the Prix de Lausanne 2020. He also won the prize for the best Swiss candidate. As a result of his success at the Prix, the young dancer has been offered contracts with renowned companies such as the English National Ballet, the Royal Swedish Ballet and the Teatro alla Scala de Milano.

Francesco Fasano

BTB student Francesco Fasano in rehearsal for Youth America Grand Prix Paris 2017. Choreography: “Grinding the Teeth” from Goyo Montero. Francesco was coached by his teacher, Francois Petit, and won 1st place in both the classical & contemporary categories. Thank you to Goyo Montero for allowing us to present this beautiful solo.

Proud of BTB‘s Ruxandra!!Ruxandra Maria Popa, 14 ani, fostă elevă la Liceul de coregrafie "Floria Capsali", din august anul trecut, elevă la Ballettschule Theater Basel, în urma unei burse gratuite primite la YAGP Cattolica unde a obținut locul I și III la clasic și contemporan.

A obținut si locul 1 și premiul special al juriului la Olimpiada Națională de Coregrafie cls. a-VII-a, burse, Monaco, Berlin, München, Bolshoi.
